ITK Development designs, builds and maintains digital services for every magistrate in Aarhus Kommune. This system keeps that work consistent — one palette, one type stack, one set of primitives, from itk.aarhus.dk to internal admin tools.

Clarity over cleverness.

We build services used by 360 000 citizens — long-form Danish copy wins over decorative flourishes. Every component earns its place.

Open by default.

Like the code, the design system is shared across OS2, GovTech Midtjylland and partner kommuner. Decisions are documented, tokens are tokens.

The palette is the expression.

Seven faceted hues do the heavy lifting. No gradients, no decorative illustration, no emoji — the triangles and the colours are enough.
